Description: The Fivetran app was unavailable in the Shopify App Store, impacting the creation of new Shopify connections. Existing connections continued to run as expected.
Timeline: Oct 01, 2025: Issue identified – Fivetran app unavailable in Shopify App Store. Oct 21, 2025: Shopify relisted the Fivetran app; OAuth flow re-enablement in progress.
Cause: The issue was caused by the temporary delisting of the Fivetran app from the Shopify App Store.
Resolution: We’ve introduced an alternate authentication mechanism that allows customers to create and use their own app to set up Shopify connections. The Fivetran app has also been relisted on the Shopify App Store, and the team is actively working on re-enabling the OAuth flow.

Update
We have now implemented changes to enable the creation of new Shopify connections from the Fivetran dashboard using the Custom App option.
While we work with Shopify to restore the Fivetran app’s availability in the Shopify App Store, you can still create new Shopify connections using our REST API.
Existing Shopify connections continue to run as expected.
